DTS Futsal Academy

What is Futsal?
Futsal is a game that is played inside on a hard surface (like a basketball court)
You play 5 vs.5 you have four field players and one goalkeeper.
Futsal is played with a low bouncing ball, the ball is a bit smaller and heavier than a regular soccer ball.

Why play Futsal?
Futsal is a fast game played on a surface that challenges you to control
the ball closely. It will help you as a player to develop your basic
technique and bring your game to the next level. Futsal is a sport you want to use to compliment your game of indoor/outdoor soccer.
Teaches:
- Controlling the ball
- Dribbling the ball in a tight space
- Taking on your direct opponent
- Making quick decisions
- Taking fast shots on goal

For the goalie it will help you
- Create a quicker reaction on the line
- Create a better feeling for the ball with your feet
- Teaches you to throw your self in front of the ball
- Teaches you to play along with the team as a field player

If you look at the game from a tactical point of view, with only four players on the field you will learn discipline and learn to play as a team. Futsal has a small playing field so it is forcing the team to use each other to win.
