Summer Field Hockey Camps at Soccer Centers

Soccer Centers is hosting the Total Dutch Field Hockey Camp. Players and trainers from the Royal Dutch Field Hockey Assosation will coach all FH camps/clinics at Soccer Centers. The camps/ clinics will take place at Soccer Centers on both its indoor and outdoor turf fields. Soccer Centers indoor climate controlled facility combined with adjoining outdoor fields will be the ultimate camp experience.
Soccer Centers is proud to announce that it will incorporate Indoor Field Hockey. A separate Indoor Field Hockey court has been constructed inside the facility.
Soccer Centers Camp programs will embrace the Dutch system of training, which employs fun and the Total way of playing Field Hockey. These techniques will challange your child whether they are beginner or a highly developed player.
A low staff to camper ratio insures that all participants will have the benefits of a personalized training environment.

Players are requested to wear shin and mouth gards. Wear indoor shoes/ turf shoes/ sneakers or cleats.
For the Indoor Field Hockey Clinics players can only wear gym/baseball shoes without black soles!!!
Full Day Camp/Clinic Schedule (one hour lunch break). Mornings 9:30-12:00 pm will be instructional, Afternoons 1:00-3:30 pm will be competitive.
Half Day Clinic schedule: Morning 9.00 am – 12.00 pm. Afternoons 1.00 – 4.00 pm

| Intro to Field Hockey Camp |

This introductional Field Hockey camp is designed for beginners. Participants will learn the proper stick handling and will be introduced to the basic rules of the game.
The emphasis will be on enjoyment with a gradual build up to small sided instructional games. This Camp will be a fun introduction to the game of Field Hockey.

| Elite Camp |
| U16 (ages 14-15) and U19 (ages 16-19) |

This Camp is for the Elite player who is preparing for playing on a high level.
The morning hours will consist of skill training focusing on ball speed, quick release, decision making, fast stick work, vision on the ball and recognizing space in order to become a more efficient player.
The afternoon hours will be small sided games where situation coaching will be used by the trainers. This type of coaching will reinforce the skills and training of the morning session.
Varsity, Club or Futures experience is recommended. |

This camp is for all players who like to learn and use Special skills in the game.
Total Dutch Field Hockey staff will coach and refine Special skills and introduce tricks used in modern ‘Turf’ Field Hockey.
Topics: (drag) flick, aerial, strokes, (high) sweep, reverse sweep, chip shot, reverse chip shot, chop, akka, insert corner, corner stickstop, corner striking, deflections.

The goalkeeper position is both physically and mentally demanding. With this in mind it is our goal is to have the players push themselves to their own limits.
This in turn will unleash each player's strength and self-confidence to perform at the next level of play. The position of goalie requires specialized instruction.
In Total Dutch Goalie Camp, the instruction will emphasize the proper technique in a controlled setting. We teach game situations with repetition of skills that are fundamental for success. Camp topics: decision-making, reaction, clearing, slides (in all directions), blocks, and self-confidence. And of course our famous Slip & Slide!!!

Training to include all aspects of Field Hockey as well as Speed and Conditioning work and special Goal keeper instruction.
