TDFH Festival U16

Total Dutch Field Hockey is sending this year a U16 team to play at the Field Hockey Festival (Nov. 26-29, 2009, Indio, California), the best experience for high level club competition.


This program is for the players who would like to improve their stick skills and game sense to a higher level in a team setting. The sessions will include skill training as well as team tactics. This will be accomplished with instructional scrimmages and skill drills in a high speed and competitive environment. This team is for all athletes who are willing to commit their energy and time to make this team successful.

Take your age on January 1, 2009
If you are 14 or 15 on January 1, 2009, then you are in the U16 age group.
(14-15 years old as of 1/1/09) Born in 1993, 1994


Commitment would be:
- TDS likes to give all players equal playing time @ Festival.
- In order to perform at the team highest level the player must be able make 9 out of 12 practice sessions, if not may result in less play time @ Festival (the only exception is school FH commitment (in writing).
- Each team has 16 players on the roster (1 goal keeper and 15 field players)
- Each player must have a valid USFHA Membership #

- Each player must have an adult who is responsible for the player and is traveling with player (TDS doesn’t provide chaperones)
- Each player must arrange own flight, Hotel accommodation and local transportation
- Each player will be expected to arrive in Palm Spring no later than Wednesday November 25, 2009 Competition in the age group divisions will take place on Thurs., Fri., & Sat. only (between 7 am – 4 pm)
- Each player need to purchase a uniform at cost.
- Each player needs to sign USFHA code of conduct

Cost for this U16 Select Festival Team:
$775 per player (1e payment due June 8st, 2nd payment due October 11th)
This includes all practice sessions, coaching cost, tournament fee and
Recruiting booklet for College Coaches
Cost does not include uniform/ airfare/ rental car or any hotel accommodations.

Practice Schedule

Practice on Sunday Mornings in the months of September, October and November.
For a total of 12 practice sessions of 2 hours each and a preparation tournament @ Soccer Centers

U16: 9 AM – 11 AM
(September 6, 13, 20 and 27, October 4, 11, 18 and 25, November 1, 8, 15 and 22)
November 8th preparation Tournament @ Soccer Centers
