Field Hockey Skills and Drills (Training)

Field Hockey Power Striking

all ages This 8 week class teaches players the correct techniques for driving the ball. Players will be video taped at the start of the session and instructed in a step by step program how to improve velocity and accuracy of their drive. Through the use of proper techniques players will improve their power irregardless of their size or strength.

Field Hockey Little Sticks

ages 7-11 This program is designed for children between the ages of 7 and 11 and will introduce the players to field hockey. Children will be taught proper stick handling and introduced to basic rules of the game. The emphasis will be on enjoyment with a gradual build up to small sided instructional games.

Field Hockey Goalie Drills

all ages This will be the most amazing class for Field Hockey goalies in the area. The class is based on technique with a lot of repetition and a lot of fun. These drills will enable the goalie to take what they learn in the class situation and apply to the game.

Total Dutch FH - I

ages 7-11 This class is designed to teach the individual player the basic Field Hockey skills in a funn filled session. We will focus on a different skill topic every week, during this session we teach the proper technique for this skill step by step. Topics in this class are: receiving/ passing/ 1v1 offense/ 1v1 defense/ scoring and combinations off this all.

Total Dutch FH - II

ages 12-13 This class is designed to improve the individual player the basic Field Hockey skills that are needed to build more confidence in controlling the ball. We will focus on a different skill topic every week, during this session we teach the proper technique for this skill step by step. Topics in this class are: receiving/ passing/ 1v1 offense/ 1v1 defense/ scoring and combinations off all the items mentioned.

Total Dutch FH - III

HS - ages 14-18 This class is designed to improve the individual player in basic and/or advanced Field Hockey skills to build more confidence under pressure. We will focus on a different skill topic every week, during this session we teach the proper technique for this skill step by step. Topics in this class are: receiving/ passing/ 1v1 offense/ 1v1 defense/ scoring and combinations of all the items mentioned.

Field Hockey Advanced Class

all ages This class is for the advanced player who may be looking to improve their overall skill level of the game. We will help players refine their fundamental skills and introduce them to advanced techniques and tactics used in modern Field Hockey. Soccer Centers Dutch Field Hockey Coach will be coaching various skill games and repetition. Players will be taught all aspects of field hockey with the emphasis on pressure play that are required on Varsity, Club or Futures levels.

Field Hockey Passing and Receiving

all ages This program refines the player’s techniques for both passing and receiving the ball from all directions. Various passing and receiving techniques will be introduced with the player understanding what technique to use, how you use it and when you use it. Emphasis will be on stickwork and control

Total Dutch FH Fast Stickwork

all ages Players will be systematically instructed how to move and feint with the ball from a fundamental to match related training conditions. Players will be introduced to proper hand and stick positions in order to increase the speed of their stickwork. They will be taught various moves and through repetition and proper technique learn to make the move with defensive pressure from an opponent.
