League & Tournament Player Information

League and Tournament Standings Point System


Win = 3 points
Tie = 1 point
Loss = 0 points

League and Tournament games that end in a tie score after regulation play shall remain a tie game.

 

League Divisions or Tournament Ties


Any league divisions ending in a tie at the end of the league season shall be governed by the following tie breaking system order:

1st Comparison of Head to Head play
2nd Comparison of goal differential (+ and - )
3rd Comparison of most "goals for" (max 5 per game)
4th Comparison of least "goals allowed" (max 5 per game)
5th Penalty Kicks

 

Individual Player Divisional Participation


Players may only be on one roster in a given division and league or Tournament play.

 

Game Days


Primary game days are assigned to divisions. Divisions may be assigned to play on alternate game days depending upon; the length of the session, the number of teams participating, and recognized holidays over the course of a session.

 

 

Game Schedule & Make-up Games


If a team is unable to play a scheduled game the opposing team will win by a 3-0 forfeit. THERE WILL BE NO RESCHEDULES OF AN ALREADY SCHEDULED GAMES.

 

Red Card Policy


A player or coach sent off in (or after) a game by a referee (red carded) will automatically be suspended from the next game in the session. In addition, a player will be banned from playing on any other team until the suspension has been served. If a player is ejected in the last game of a session (he/she) will be prohibited from playing in the first game after he/she registers for another session. A player or coach red carded for the offense of "foul and abusive language" will be suspended as outlined above.

  1. A player red carded for the offense of "persistent infraction of the rules after receiving a caution (yellow card) will be suspended as outlined above.
  2. A player or coach red carded for the offense of "violent conduct" (including, but not limited to: spitting, threatening, continued rough play, etc.) will be suspended as outlined above and, in addition, will be suspended for one additional game and subject to further disciplinary action as decided by the facility management.
  3. A player or coach red carded for "assaulting an official"* will automatically be suspended from any further activities at SOCCER CENTERS.
  4. Any player or coach who accumulates three cautions (yellow cards) during league matches per session will be suspended as outlined above.
  5. Should a coach of a team be unable to control a player's actions after a red card is issued, the coach will also be suspended as outlined above.
  6. A player accumulating three red cards over a one year period will forfeit his or her right to participate at SOCCER CENTERS.
  7. "Jumping-in" - A player jumping from the player box onto the field to break up or participate in a fight will automatically be ejected from the game. Ref. FIFA Law III and Law XII.

ALL RED CARDS ARE SUBJECT TO A FINE. SOCCER CENTERS RESERVES THE RIGHT TO IMPOSE FINE BASED ON SEVERITY AND /OR NATURE OF THE CARDED OFFENSE.

 



Fighting


"ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY" Anyone fighting will be ejected and their PARTICIPATION will be terminated. Anyone threatening or stalking another member, staff, official or spectator will also be ejected, terminated and reported to the local authorities.

 

Manager/Player Responsibilty


It is the responsibility of each player and the player's team representative to be aware of the total status of their players' infractions. Failure to comply may result in further disciplinary measures, which may include suspension of the coach/rep. and forfeiture of games sanctioned player played in. (This includes use of illegal players - those not registered properly on the team roster.) Manager is responsible for confirming scheduled game times at least 24 hours prior to game. Web schedules are to be used as a reference, changes may occur from time to time, the Soccer Center shall maintain the most current official game schedules.

 

Termination of Participation


The facility management reserves the right to terminate individual and team's participation at the facility for violation of the facility policies as posted.

 

Team No-shows


If a team cannot play a scheduled game (See GAME SCHEDULE) the opposing team will be awarded a 3-0 victory. NO RESCHEDULE WILL BE GIVEN. (See FORFEITURES)

 

 

Forfeitures


A team forfeiting a game(s) during any one session will be subject to the following fines:

1st Forfeit - $25.00 fine
2nd Forfeit - $50.00 fine
3rd Forfeit - Termination of team participation from the session and loss of re-registration priority. Fines for forfeitures must be paid prior to a team continuing the session schedule. A forfeiture will be incurred if a team has failed to field the minimum number of players within ten (10) minutes into the game (The Ten Minute Rule). A team failing to have all their passes may not participate until all players have been verified and a $50.00 charge has been paid. Again the "Ten Minute Rule" shall be enforced.

 

Bonds


A bond will be required from any team involved in an altercation. Should a bond be placed against a team, the bond must be paid prior to the teams next game, or the team's participation will be terminated. The terms of the bond will be given in writing to the team, should the team fail to adhere to the terms, the bond will be forfeited to Soccer Centers and the teams participation will be terminated.

 

 

Protest


Intention to file a protest must be noted in writing immediately following the game. A formal written protest with a $20.00 fee (refundable if upheld) must be submitted to SOCCER CENTERS within 1 hour after the end of the game. ONLY A VIOLATION OF THE LAWS OF THE GAME, RULES OR GUIDELINES OF THE FACILITY AS PUBLISHED ARE MATTERS FOR PROTEST. VIDEO TAPE WILL NOT BE VIEWED AS EVIDENCE IN A PROTEST. Protestations regarding fielding of illegal players must be brought to the attention of the game officials prior to the suspected player(s) leaving the field of play.

 

First Aid


The facility has a limited first-aid kit. It shall be the responsibility of each team to maintain their own first-aid kit for treatment of their players.

* An "Assault on an Official" shall be defined as an attempt to commit a battery upon an official; and an act, which is close to accomplishment, shall be sufficient to constitute an assault upon an official. Local authorities will also be notified.

 

3v3 & 4v4 Rules of Play


Games are playedin accordance with FIFA Laws of the Game with modifications as specified:

  1. Duration of game - 20 minutes running clock.

  2. Free/unlimited substitutions are made on "the fly".

  3. Kick Off - may be taken in any direction.

  4. Balls crossing the touch-line on the ground or in the air will be put in play via kick-in. Defending players must provide a 3 yard distance from the point of occurrence.

  5. No corner kicks. Balls crossing the goal line will be put into play accordingly from that spot.

  6. Goal may be scored ONLY from offensive half of the field.

  7. NO GOAL may be scored from kick off (start of game).

  8. Restart after goal scored will be from the top of the goal arc area of the team conceding a goal.

  9. No off sides.

  10. No Slide Tackling.

  11. Free Kicks - defending players may set up a wall 5 yards from the point of infraction.

  12. Defending players may not defend a shot from inside the goal arc area. This offense will result in a free kick, which will be taken by the opposing player from the midfield mark/spot with no interference.

  13. An attacking player from inside of the goal arc area may not score a goal. Goal will be disallowed and play will be restarted by the defending player from the top of the goal arc.

  14. Referees - There will be no abuse of the referees tolerated, verbal or otherwise. Any indication of such behavior by a coach or parent will result in immediate removal from the tournament site. No verbal abuse of any player, coach, or referee will be tolerated. Please keep all comments (cheering) positive.

  15. Teams must be ready to enter the field at least 5 minutes prior to their scheduled game.

  16. FIRST WHISTLE STARTS THE CLOCK ON ALL FIELDS and FIRST GAME ENDING WHISTLE ENDS GAMES ON ALL FIELDS.

 

 

Soccer Centers does not permit any outside food or drink with the exception of plastic water bottles.
